Success Story Feature—“T-shirt” George

“It’s never too late,” says George. “No matter what stage you are at, you have a chance.” He says his whole family is about fighting on. “We accomplish the impossible here.”

Family man and Balance of Nature customer George Chapman, aka “T-shirt George”, runs a small merchandising business in New Jersey that makes T-shirts, fidget spinners, pens, stress balls, and other fun products.

George came to be known as ‘T-shirt George’ when, in his mid-twenties, an employer advised him to call himself something that’ll help people remember him. He started using ‘T-shirt George,’ and it stuck. For the last forty years he has been known as T-shirt George.

George explains that it takes all he has to operate a small business effectively and get his 63-year-old body through the day. This is one reason he says he takes Balance of Nature.

He says he believes in Balance of Nature. “It helps me get through my hectic day,” he says. He gets up at five in the morning and can sometimes work until ten at night. After he wakes up, he showers, goes to the gym for about 45 minutes to an hour, and eats breakfast before starting his workday at 7 a.m.

“I need every advantage that I can get for my body to sustain that hectic day,” he says. “If it wasn’t for the vegetables and fruit that I take through Balance of Nature, I don’t think I [could] get through that day.”

George’s day is always different. He could be at the desk or constantly out on the road. He has many clients whose needs are “off the cuff.”

“I don’t know what my day has planned for me, but I know I have to be ‘on the ready’ to do it and get it done. Otherwise, the next day just gets more hectic” he says. “. . . And that’s why I try to gear up myself with everything I can get my hands on to prepare myself to get through.”

“Being a small business owner is the best thing in the world,” George shares. He gets to work for his family and see his grandchildren every day, as well as have fun. He can leave the company to his family when he is gone, and he says his children and grandchildren will be able to see his accomplishments.

George’s office has his grandchildren’s pictures and their finger paintings on the walls. “It’s important to take care of my health because I can’t help them [his family] if I’m not healthy,” he says. “I have to worry about [myself] first in order for me to help them.”

He explains that in a small business where there are only four or five employees, they all have to be the best they can be because when one is down, it brings more work to the rest of them.

“More importantly, when you live a healthy life, you enjoy your life,” George adds.

When playing sports competitively with his grandson, he has to give it his all. It’s competitive, he says, but they enjoy healthy times together.

Becoming a grandpa was a reality check, he says, because he didn’t consider himself a grandpa until all of a sudden he had five grandkids. All the grandkids want to play with grandpa, so he has to have the energy to keep up with them.

He wants to stick around to see his great-grandkids. He said he doesn’t want to be pushed in a wheelchair to see their basketball games; he wants to walk there.

George says he believes the body needs the right amount of healthy food, like an engine, to move forward.

He says he doesn’t have to worry anymore. “All I know is I can take three [of both Balance of Nature Fruits & Veggies] in the morning and I’m good for the rest of the day. If I forgot that I took them in the morning and take three more in the afternoon, I’m not going to overdose on these . . . but, like I said, I’ve never felt so better—healthwise—in the last five years, than I feel now. I couldn’t say that when I was 50 or 40. I can feel the difference, so it’s gotta work.”

“When I take the three capsules of each of the Balance of Nature, I know I’m getting . . .  the fruits and vegetables that I would have to buy in the store. So just those three capsules give me the energy that I need to get through the day.”

George keeps his Balance of Nature in his car so he can see it in front of him and remember to take them in the morning.

“Life can be short sometimes, but it can also be enjoyable if you take care of yourself—that’s why I take my three capsules [of each] a day.”

George is a pitcher on a softball team, the only member over 50 years old, but he says it keeps him fit and athletic. He says he is kind of the old guy on the team who keeps up with all the young guys.

“If you hang out with the young guys, you think like you’re the young guys,” he says. “So I had to take my Balance of Nature to be part of the young guys, I guess, and I enjoy it too. I enjoy playing softball; I enjoy sports.” Their team even won the championship last year!

“The funny thing about being 63, in my life, I have experienced all the failures and successes that one can experience,” he shares. After doing it all, growing up in the seventies, eighties, and nineties, he said he found himself in the new millennium needing to do something. “There was a point in time in my life where I had to make a decision to turn my life around: to work out at the gym, take Balance of Nature, eat correctly, exercise, and luckily for me, it wasn’t too late. I was able to turn my life around and enjoy my life with my kids and my grandkids.”

“It’s never too late,” he says. “No matter what stage you are at, you have a chance.” He says his whole family is about fighting on. “We accomplish the impossible here.” To the youngest of them to the oldest, he says he has to get himself to rise to their level.

George has taken supplements for two decades and has come to understand the difference between all-natural supplements and ones that contain chemical components. “It took a lot of research,” he shares. “ . . . And found out that you can do more damage to yourself [by] taking a supplement that has chemical components. . . . When I heard Balance of Nature had none of those, I was happy about it because I finally found something that I could take in one pill that had 17 or 18 different fruits and vegetables where I didn’t have to take 17 different capsules.”

“I’ve never had a bad reaction from Balance of Nature. It’s all been good. I’m going to continue to take it.”

“I know it takes more than just a capsule; you have to exercise, you have to get your rest, you have to take care of your body,” he says. “I’m 225 pounds I am by no stretch of the imagination the most fit guy in the room, but I’m probably the guy in the room that can get the most done.” And that’s what he wants to be, George says. He wants to be able to put in a full day of work and still play basketball with his grandson at the end of the day.

George continues, “I’m enjoying my life. I would absolutely 100 percent say one of the reasons is because of Balance of Nature—without a doubt.”
