These different viewpoints make it crucial for us to stay rooted to the basic facts as new fads and diet plans are introduced. When asked what foods are most nutritious or contain the most nutrients, most people don't have to think very hard. Whole fruits and vegetables are obvious answers. They contain thousands of phyto-chemicals and give your body the tools it needs to function properly.

According to the Palo Alto Medical Foundation over 25% of Americans consume fast food every day. A recent survey conducted by The Center for Disease Control reported that more than one-third of U.S. adults are obese and that in the last two decades obesity has tripled in children. These statistics are appalling. If we are to make a difference in our nations future health we need to start by changing our day-to-day routiens that have become so prevelent in our society.
